The evolution of the T-shirt is illustrated by an episode from the fantastic comedy Back to the Future (part 1). The main character, who came from 1985 in 1955, is also dressed in a burgundy T-shirt. A girl, a "native" inhabitant of that era, seeing this, exclaims: "For the first time in my life I see colored underwear!"
